Job summary

Alliance Healthcare in Dorchester is seeking a Multi Drop Van Driver to ensure the speedy, efficient delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.

The role involves 48 hours per week (Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri and Sat mornings) with a salary of £35,642.88. You will perform daily vehicle safety checks, load/unload orders, and maintain professional customer relations, with additional warehouse duties as required.

Qualifications

• A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer care.
• Intermediate numeracy and literacy.

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and comply with traffic laws and signs while considering other road users.
• Perform a daily vehicle safety check (lights, brakes, coolant, etc.).
• Report faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays promptly.
• Maintain the vehicle’s interior/exterior condition and cleanliness.
• Ensure sufficient fuel for the day’s work and secure vehicle contents at all times.
• Load orders from drop sheets and ensure all items are loaded.
• Collect goods returned for credit and return them to the branch as instructed.
• Handle damages/breakages promptly with HazChem procedures in mind.
• Support good customer relations and assist with warehouse tasks as needed.
