Job summary

Cencora in Exeter is seeking a Multi Drop Van Driver to ensure speedy, accurate pharmaceutical deliveries to pharmacies and hospitals from our Alliance Healthcare operations. This full-time role involves 48 hours per week, with shifts Mon–Sat mornings, and requires a full driving licence and strong customer care.

You will maintain vehicle safety, load orders, assist with warehouse tasks, and uphold high standards of service while representing the company professionally.

Qualifications

• A full driving license relevant to the vehicle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent Customer care.
• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy.

Responsibilities

• To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• To collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To be involved in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by the Management.
