Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor/Engineer to support a long-term EPCm framework contract at a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Ware, Hertfordshire. This on-site role requires coordinating contractors, driving construction progress, and ensuring safe, compliant delivery across mechanical, piping, electrical, civil and architectural scopes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering construction projects in highly regulated industrial environments.
• Strong contractor management and on-site supervision capabilities.
• Experience leading construction activities safely in live operational facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise construction activities on site.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.
• Support the development and execution of Construction Work Packs (CWPs).
• Monitor construction progress and report against project schedules and milestones.
• Identify risks to project delivery and implement effective mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, project procedures and client requirements.
• Drive a strong safety culture through inspections, toolbox talks and proactive risk management.
• Support Permit-to-Work and Safe Systems of Work processes.
• Coordinate installation, construction, completions and commissioning activities.
• Participate in Constructability Reviews, Construction Readiness Reviews and HAZCON studies.
• Manage construction-related costs, variations and change activities.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams to optimise project delivery.
