Job summary

CVS Vets is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our Clifton Triangle practice. You will manage incoming calls, book appointments and greet clients, helping to create a welcoming experience for every pet owner.

This permanent role is part-time (24 hours/week) with a varied Monday–Friday pattern and some Saturday on-call. You will handle insurance forms, payments, and use the in-house system while delivering compassionate, professional care.

Qualifications

• Experience as a receptionist or in a high-demand client-facing role is essential.
• Resilience with the ability to handle emotional situations with kindness and professionalism.
• Excellent communication and empathy with clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls and schedule appointments efficiently.
• Respond to queries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism.
• Greet and register new clients, ensuring a warm welcome.
• Process and manage insurance forms accurately.
• Dispense medications as required.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently.
• Provide empathy and support to clients during distressing times.
• Organise patients using the in-house system.
• Liaise with other veterinary practices to address patient needs.
• Handle debts, refunds, and related phone calls.
• Ensure clients feel welcomed and valued at the practice.
