Job summary

Townsend Veterinary Centre, Bromsgrove, part of CVS Vets, is hiring a veterinary receptionist to support front-of-house operations. You will greet clients, manage calls, book appointments and handle insurance forms, while delivering compassionate service.

The role requires strong communication and customer service skills, with experience in fast-paced client environments. The position is on-site with hours spread across Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 14 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Receptionist or in a demanding client-focused role is essential.
• Experience in a veterinary setting is a bonus.
• Strong communication, empathy and teamwork are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage communication: handle calls and schedule appointments efficiently.
• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism.
• Greet and register new clients, ensuring a warm welcome.
• Process and manage insurance forms adeptly.
• Dispense medications as required.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently.
• Provide empathy to clients while maintaining professionalism.
• Organise patients using the in-house system.
• Liaise with veterinary practices to address patient needs.
• Make necessary calls regarding debts and refunds.
• Ensure every client feels welcomed and valued.
