Job summary

InHealth is seeking a PET-CT Healthcare Assistant to support our clinical team and deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced imaging environment at our Kings Cross site in London.

You will welcome patients with warmth, prepare them for examinations, and provide reassurance throughout their visit while maintaining privacy and dignity and supporting clinicians to ensure a smooth patient journey.

Qualifications

• Experience working with patients or customers is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection is important.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a clinical team.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with warmth and professionalism, safeguarding privacy, dignity and comfort.
• Confirm patient identity and assist with pre-scan consent and data protection documents.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide reassurance and chaperoning where required.
• Explain examination details and support clinicians to ensure patient understanding and comfort.
• Document patient medical history accurately using clerking forms.
• Enter patient information into management systems accurately and keep records up to date.
• Support consumables, stock control, and supplies across units, coordinating flow of patients and activities.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness and infection control in line with policies.
• Adhere to data protection legislation and professional standards in every interaction.
