Job summary

Alliance Medical is seeking a skilled PET-CT Radiographer/Technologist for the Truro PET-CT Centre. You will contribute to PET-CT imaging, radiopharmaceutical handling and patient care, with a patient-focused approach and strong communication skills.

The role includes on-the-job PET-CT competency training, collaboration across sites, and DBS clearance requirements. IT literacy is essential, and IV cannulation training is provided if needed to ensure high-quality imaging services.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration or equivalent is required.
• Background in Nuclear Medicine with PET-CT experience preferred.
• Experience with radiopharmaceutical handling and cannulation is desirable.

• IT literacy and DBS clearance are required.
• Flexibility to work across multiple sites may be needed.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated PET CT Radiographer/Technologist to join our team at our Truro PET-CT Centre.

The successful candidate will have either HCPC or an equivalent voluntary registration, you should have a background in Nuclear Medicine, preferably with experience of PET-CT, and be experienced in handling and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals. A high level of competency in cannulation is preferable.

A candidate with significant experience working as a Radiographer will also be considered as training in PET-CT can be provided.

You should have a patient-focused attitude to ensure patient care is delivered to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. We are looking for a flexible, adaptable team player who has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

You will undertake a competency programme in PET-CT to develop your knowledge and help you gain a full understanding of PET-CT. Training will be delivered “On the Job” and in collaboration with the Christie School of Oncology via the PET-CT training academy. You will also be required to IV cannulate patients as part of the role. Rest assured, should you not have any prior experience in IV cannulation, Alliance Medical will provide full training.
