Job summary

ALTEN is seeking an experienced Control System Design Engineer to support PES-based control system designs within a highly regulated environment, including commissioning support and handover. The role is based in the North West UK, with flexibility on working arrangements.

You will deliver PES-based control system designs, produce CE&I documentation, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering PES-based Control System designs from concept to handover.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality CE&I design documentation.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering standards and design processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review PES-based Control System designs and modifications.
• Produce high-quality CE&I design documentation.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
• Provide technical support during commissioning activities.
• Participate in design reviews and technical assurance activities.
• Mentor junior engineers where appropriate.

3+ years experience

Strong communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
