Qualifications

Job description

The Role

To provide an effective, efficient and comprehensive service to the Senior Manager incorporating a range of secretarial and administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the office.

What we'll need you to bring
  • Self-motivated person with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Qualifications (HNC/SVQ in secretarial studies) and secretarial experience or relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages and accurate keyboard skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to liaise with staff at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have
  • Working knowledge of NHS appointment system
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and date protection
  • Proficient in audio typing
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Car driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence
Contract type

Fixed Term for 8 months

Part Time

32 hours

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

Please note this is a fixed term post for 8 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment.

The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in the Admin team within Udston Hospital
