Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment is seeking a Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence Solicitor with 1+ PQE to join its West Sussex team. You'll handle your own caseload and work with experienced colleagues on complex matters in a forward-thinking regional firm with a collaborative culture.

The role offers hybrid working, a mix of PI and CN claims, with strong client contact and clear development opportunities. Training and progression are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' PQE in Personal Injury and/or Clinical Negligence
• Experience in either discipline; exposure to both would be advantageous
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills; ability to manage deadlines and workloads

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for your own caseload while working with senior colleagues on more complex matters
• Work on Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence cases including RTA, employers' liability, public liability, occupiers' liability and misdiagnosis
• Provide excellent client care and contribute to business development and client relationships

The firm is looking to appoint a Personal Injury / Clinical Negligence Solicitor with 1+ PQE to join its established team in West Sussex.

The Opportunity

You'll take responsibility for your own caseload while working alongside experienced colleagues on more complex matters.

The work is varied and covers both Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence, including:

• Road traffic accidents
• Employers' liability
• Public liability
• Occupiers' liability
• Misdiagnosis
• Failure to diagnose or treat
• Other complex injury and negligence claims

You'll have the opportunity to build your own experience and confidence, while also supporting senior members of the team on higher-value or more complex cases.

It's a role that offers plenty of client contact and responsibility, but with the right level of supervision and support around you.

• Knowledge of relevant legislation, protocols and case law
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• The ability to manage your own caseload and meet deadlines
• Excellent client care and communication skills
