Job Title: Personal Education Plan Officer

Wokingham Borough Council is looking for a Personal Education Plan Officer to join their team, supporting up to 18 Children in Care. This role is primarily virtual, with team meetings approximately once every 8 weeks, and an induction day in the office lasting no more than 3 hours.

As a Personal Education Plan Officer, your responsibilities include:

  1. Managing a caseload of up to 18 children in care, attending PEP meetings, and ensuring PEPs are completed fully and promptly.
  2. Participating in Children in Care Review meetings and other professional meetings.
  3. Monitoring exclusions of children on your caseload and supporting or challenging schools as needed.
  4. Monitoring, reporting on, and improving attendance and attainment.
  5. Influencing school leaders and professionals to progress individual cases and remove barriers to access to education.
Requirements:
  • GCSE Level A-C in English and Math.
