Hours: Full time, term time (37 hrs per week, working 40 weeks per year)
Duration: Fixed term until July 2026
Salary: £25,716 FTE (Pro-rata £22,847.68) per annum + benefits

The role of Personal Development Coordinator is an exciting opportunity within our Student Support and Safeguarding team, based at Dearne Valley College, part of the RNN Group. The role involves creating and delivering engaging personal development activities and events for college learners to enhance their experience.
Key duties include developing a comprehensive programme of personal development and physical health activities accessible to all learners. You will collaborate with learners on topics like physical health, wellbeing, and personal growth, and organize events that develop life skills, promote wellbeing, and encourage active lifestyles through sports and physical activities. These activities will include sessions on healthy living and physical wellbeing.
You will build partnerships with external organizations to facilitate guest speakers and learner voice activities linked to themed weeks, such as Safeguarding Week, Financial Wellbeing, Mental Health Week, and sports tournaments like AoC Sport Regional Tournaments.
Responsibilities include:
Qualifications required include Level 2 (GCSE) in English and Maths or equivalent, with experience in facilitating events. Good customer service skills, respect, and confidentiality are essential.
The role involves working within a team on-site and with colleagues across other campuses to ensure consistency in events and offerings. You will report to the Student Support Team Leader and collaborate with curriculum managers and tutors to provide learners with suitable personal development opportunities.
