Personal Development Coordinator
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £25,716 FTE (Pro-rata £22,847.68) per annum + benefits
Hours: Full time, term time (37 hrs per week, working 40 weeks per year)
Duration: Fixed term until July 2026

The Personal Development Coordinator role is dynamic, with varied daily tasks. Based within the Student Support and Safeguarding team at Dearne Valley College (part of the RNN Group), you will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging personal development activities and events to enhance the learner experience.
Your main duties will include developing a comprehensive programme of personal development and physical health activities accessible to all learners. You will collaborate with learners on topics such as physical health, wellbeing, and personal development, and organize events that promote life skills, wellbeing, and active lifestyles through sports and physical activities. These initiatives will include sessions on healthy living and physical wellbeing.
You will establish effective partnerships with external organizations for guest speakers and learner voice activities linked to themed weeks, such as Safeguarding Week, Financial Wellbeing, Mental Health Week, and sports tournaments like AoC Sport Regional Tournaments.
As part of a team, you will organize, promote, and deliver events aimed at developing learners' essential life and personal skills. Additionally, you will utilize your event management skills to plan and execute activities, workshops, and events, managing all logistics and liaising with external partners to ensure successful delivery. Your engagement with students and collaboration with stakeholders will be vital in creating impactful experiences.
The role involves working within a team on-site and collaborating with colleagues across RNN Group campuses to ensure consistent delivery of events and personal development opportunities. You will report to the Student Support Team Leader and coordinate with curriculum managers and tutors to support learners' personal development.
