Job summary

Penderels Trust is seeking a dedicated care assistant to support an autistic individual in daily living. You will help with personal care, meal preparation, driving duties when needed, and accompanying to activities.

The role requires empathy, reliability and good communication, with a 1-year contract and shifts that may include evenings. A non-smoker preferred and safeguarding checks will apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Medication administration may be required.
• DBS disclosure checks will be completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including dressing, bathing and toileting.
• Assist with cooking, meal preparation and eating.
• Aid with taking prescribed medications.
• Help with household chores and general homemaking.
• accompany to appointments such as hospital or doctors.
• Support with shopping for food and daily essentials.
• Assist to travel to school, work, college and social activities.
• Encourage socialisation and participation in activities.
