Job summary

Penderels Trust is seeking a compassionate care worker to support an autistic young lady in her own home in Little Waltham. You will assist with personal care, meals, medication prompts, and general homemaking, and accompany her to activities.

Driving is required, with a car and business insurance; shifts may start before or after 10pm. This is a 37-hour-per-week, 1-year contract. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Duties include personal care, meal preparation and medication prompts, plus general homemaking.
• The role requires reliability, empathy and the ability to work as part of a small team.
• A driver with access to a car is preferred and flexibility to shifts is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support and/or prompt with personal care, including toileting, showering, dressing.
• Support with cooking/meal preparation and eating
• Support and/or prompt to take medication
• Assist with household chores and general homemaking
• Support to attend appointments and social activities
• Encourage socialisation and independence
