Job summary

Penderels Trust is seeking a committed Care Assistant to support a boy with daily activities, mobility and community access. The role requires PEG feeding training or willingness to train, a full driving licence to operate the employer's adapted vehicle, and previous care experience.

Qualifications

Previous caring experience is essential.
Previous childcare/special needs experience is essential.

Responsibilities

Support and/or prompt with personal care including toileting, showering, dressing.
Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.
Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
Support with food shopping.
Support to get to and from school/work/college/social activities.
Support to access sporting and leisure activities.
Encourage socialisation and participation in activities.
Promote friendships and independence, building trustful one-to-one relations.
Perform additional duties as reasonably required.
Report accidents and hazards immediately for safety.
