Job summary

Dewis Centre for Independent Living is seeking a part-time personal care assistant to provide full personal care support such as showering, dressing, undressing and continence care. The role requires 19 hours per week on a 2:1 basis, across mornings and evenings, over 7 days.

A National Insurance number is required to be submitted, with a trial period and DBS check funded by the employer. The wage is paid every 4 weeks and appropriate holiday pay is provided, with costs for the DBS check covered

Job description

The purpose of the role is to provide full personal care support, including showering, dressing and undressing, and continence care., 19 hours per week to be worked on a 2:1 basis, totalling 9.5 hours each PA per week. To cover morning and evening calls over 7 days., Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid 4 weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
