Job summary

Enable Scotland in Helensburgh is looking for Personal Assistants (Support Workers) to provide one-to-one support to individuals with varying needs, including personal care and moving and handling. The role is 30 hours per week with a shift pattern from 10am to 10pm and overnight supports; the role may involve early finishes.

The successful candidates will work as part of a bespoke team to promote safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support, helping them lead their best life.

• Support individuals to engage in activities and social connections.

Nicole is a young woman who lives in her own tenancy where she receives one to one support.She loves likes to keep her home clean and tidy and can do most of this herself.Nicole requires prompts with her personal care

Nicole loves music and knows the words and actions to most songs. She loves dancing and excercise classes on her projector and sheloves movies, especially Disney movies. Nicole enjoys arts and crafts as well as assisting with her meal preparations.

She is very caring and loves chatting, listening and playing games.

Nicole needs her team to be patient, routine focused and to follow her plans as this allows Nicole to enjoy her home and activities.

Nicole is looking to open up new opportunities for herself to begin going out and about in her community as she is not always able to do this and needs a Personal Assistant who can assist her to build confidence and open up the new things with her.

Nicole can communicate verbally and also uses PECS to assist with planning her day and activities.
