Enable is a dynamic social care charity recruiting Personal Assistants (Support Workers) in Shawlands, Glasgow. You will work with three ladies who live in their own homes, providing support 7 days a week to help them lead fulfilling lives.

No prior care experience is required; Enable values your values and transferrable skills. The role offers training and progression opportunities within a supportive team environment.

About The Role

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone who requires support to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!

Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

We support three ladies in the Shawlands area of Glasgow. The ladies live in their own homes and receive support 7 days a week. They love getting out and meeting new peopke. A typical day could be going to the shops to ensure they have all the essentials they need, or even just to have a wander around their local community. In their downtime, they enjoy watching movies and just having a general blether with friends. Sadly, it’s not always possible for the ladies to enjoy what many people would consider these ‘simple pleasures’ without proper, dedicated support.
