Job summary

Enableby, an award-winning social care charity, is seeking Personal Assistants (Support Workers) to make a daily difference in the lives of the people we support. You will assist with personal care, help with daily living tasks, and support movement and handling as needed, while ensuring safety and wellbeing.

Easterhouse

Part Time or Full Time contracts considered

Shift times vary however can work a range of shifts10am - 10pm, 10am - 3pm, 11am - 4:30pm, possible opportunity for overnight support.

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enableby making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

Let us introduceyou to Neil:

Neil is nonverbal and uses his own version of Makaton to communicate. Neil loves going out in his car, he likes going to local parks, riding bikes, going on the swings, playing basketball or just being out for a drive. Neil attends a day centre Monday - Friday for a few hours a day and does not require support while he is there. On a day in the house Neil likes to sit and watch movies or listen to music. He enjoys nursery rhymes and his favourite movie is Shrek. Neil requires support with all aspects of his daily life like medication administering, meal preparation and personal care.
