Job summary

Enableby is seeking Personal Assistants (Support Workers) in Irvine to support individuals with diverse needs. The role includes helping with personal care, moving and handling, and facilitating social activities as part of a bespoke team around each person supported.

The posts offer a 28 hours per week schedule with a mix of day and overnight shifts (10pm to 10pm the next day). A female driver is preferred and a valid manual license is required to support activities and mobility tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, moving and handling as needed.
• Provide support to individuals to achieve their goals and outcomes.
• Support Demi and others in daily activities and social participation.

Demi is a very active member of her local community and family unit. A typical day involves supporting Demi with personal care and work tasks, Demi runs a successful business as well as works a part time job, mainly focusing around disability awareness and training, as well as this Demi also volunteers as a Brownie leader in the evenings.. In her downtime, Demi enjoys spending time with family, having her niece sleepover, going to the cinema, going out with friends and attending concerts. Demi receives support 7 days a week this is a mix of 22 hours per day at 24 hours per day depending on Demi's work and social commitments.. Sadly, it’s not always possible for Demi to enjoy what many people would consider these ‘simple pleasures’ without proper, dedicated support.
