Job summary

Enableby in Kilmarnock is seeking Personal Assistants/Support Workers to help individuals achieve their goals through personalised care. The role involves assisting with personal care, mobility, and social activities, with a commitment to safety, wellbeing and the person’s aspirations.

You will join a bespoke team that coordinates around each person to deliver consistent support, seven days a week where needed. Roles are 36 hours per week (3 days, 8am–8pm).

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enableby making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

Let us introduceyou to Matthew loves being outdoors, going out on his push scooter ( in all weather) and just being as generally active as possible. A typical day could be going to the shops to ensure Matthew has all the essentials he needs, going to local parks and harbours. In his downtime, Matthew enjoys watching movies, listening to music and the radio. Matthew receives support 7 days a week usually between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Sadly, it’s not always possible for Matthew to enjoy what many people would consider these ‘simple pleasures’ without proper, dedicated support.
