Job summary

Experience as a PA or teaching assistant is desirable, and enhanced DBS clearance will be required. The post is offered as a private arrangement with the family, with administration handled by the family;

Personal Assistant for a young person with Autism

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support a fun-loving and active 6 year old with Autism living in the Newquay area.

He can't wait to be taken on social activities with you and will love you helping him to build on life skills. He will make sure your reactions are lightning quick and charm you with his infectious laugh. Understanding of Autism would be desirable.

This role involves accompanying him on a variety of outdoor, all-weather activities such as the beach , walks, possible days out with the family and general recreation, while encouraging his independence and helping him develop essential life skills.

The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and will not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
