Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a part-time Personal Assistant to support a Gentleman living in Beverley with MS. The role involves personal care, domestic tasks, meal preparation, and accompanying the service user in the community.

Duties may include using a ceiling hoist and other duties as discussed at interview. DBS and references are required, with costs met by the council.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred however training can be provided.
• DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post – Cost to be met by the local authority.

This is an external vacancy and is not employment with East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Gentleman living in Beverley with M.S, requires a dependable carer for 20+ hours per week on a fixed 4 week rota, to be discussed further at interview. The successful candidate will be working with 3 other carers.

The Direct Payments Support Service is an in-house service provided by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The service promotes independent choice and inclusion, allowing our service users to employ their own care and support as needed. We support many individuals with varying abilities, assisting with advertising and recruitment for a range of roles including support workers, carers and personal assistants.
