Job summary

Tate is recruiting for a temporary administration support role in Hove to assist a visually impaired worker. The position covers diary management, admin tasks, and accessibility-focused duties.

You will work 35 hours per week, 09:00–17:00, starting September 2026 and ending 23 May 2027. Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft 365, strong communication, and experience handling confidential information are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Managing diaries and inboxes using Outlook and Microsoft 365.
  • Providing tailored administrative support, including filing, handling post and note-taking.
  • Supporting meetings, events, seminars and networking opportunities.
  • Liaising with stakeholders on behalf of the manager where required.
  • Ensuring communications and correspondence are compatible with screen reader software.
  • Providing visual support in meetings and events by describing presentations, surroundings and visual content.
  • Taking minutes and logging actions from meetings.
  • Responding to email and telephone enquiries.
  • Conducting online research.
  • Arranging travel and accommodation for meetings and events.
  • Providing sighted guidance when travelling around buildings and unfamiliar environments.
  • Supporting with training sessions that include visual elements.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clear verbal information.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and Outlook diary management.
  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • A proactive, positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Knowledge or experience of using screen reader software.

Job description

This is a temporary opportunity supporting a visually impaired worker with a range of administrative, organisational and accessibility-focused tasks.

Location: Hove, BN3

Pay Rate: £16.10 per hour

Hours: 35 hours per week

Working Hours: 09:00 - 17:00

Start Date: September 2026

End Date: 23 May 2027
