Job summary

Goodwin Development Trust is seeking a Personal Assistant to provide high-quality care in a service catering to individuals with learning disabilities and complex health needs. Roles available are full-time and part-time, with hourly pay of £12.71 (unqualified) or £12.96 (NVQ Level 2 or above).

The job focuses on dignity, independence, and choice, with an emphasis on safeguarding and daily activity participation.

Qualifications

• Hold or be willing to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Care or equivalent.
• Be caring, patient, compassionate and respectful.
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide full personal care with dignity and respect.
• Support individuals with medication in line with training.
• Assist with mobility and safe transfers (including hoisting).
• Support specialist health needs such as PEG feeding.
• Encourage independence and participation in daily activities.
• Support access to the community.
• Complete clear and accurate care documentation.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and individual choice.
• Create a safe environment reflecting personal goals.

This role will include:

• Providing full personal care with dignity and respect.
• Supporting individuals with medication (in line with training and policy).
