Salary Range: £28598 - £34434 (pro rata for part time hours)

The Through Care Service is made up of Social Workers, Personal Advisers (PAs), Children and Families Workers and a Housing Liaison Officer. Our team provide social work and personal advice to children in care and care leavers aged 12 to 25.

We are recruiting Personal Advisers for the Through Care service. This is an exciting post, and you will provide direct support to care leavers aged 16-25. The role involves ensuring that care leavers are supported and achieve positive outcomes when they leave care. The role places a strong emphasis on a family-valued approach and relational practice.
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Do you have experience working with young people in care or those with a care history? We’re looking for someone who can engage, support and empower young people facing a range of needs and challenging circumstances.
You’ll bring:
Strong assessment skills and the ability to analyse complex information
Knowledge of the challenges care leavers face as they move into adulthood
Understanding of the legal framework for care leavers, housing, homelessness and UASC
Confidence applying legislation to real‑world situations
