Job summary

The Education Network Birmingham is working with a specialist SEND school in Atherstone to recruit a Learning Support Assistant for a permanent, full-time role. You will provide personalised support to pupils with SEND, both inside and outside the classroom, collaborating with teachers, therapists and the wider team.

You will help pupils access learning, develop independence and work towards EHCP outcomes, building positive relationships and safeguarding strategies in a calm, nurturing

Qualifications

• Demonstrates passion for supporting SEND pupils.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trust.
• Ability to adapt to varying learning and behavioural needs.

Responsibilities

• Providing personalised support to pupils with a range of SEND
• Supporting learning both inside and outside of the classroom
• Working alongside teachers, therapists and other professionals
• Helping pupils work towards their individual EHCP outcomes
• Supporting communication, independence and emotional development
• Developing positive relationships and encouraging confidence and resilience
• Supporting positive behaviour and safeguarding strategies
• Adapting approach to meet sensory, communication and learning needs
