Are you passionate about supporting children and young people to overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve their full potential? The Education Network Birmingham is working with a specialist SEND school in Atherstone to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a permanent, full-time position.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist therapeutic school where relationships, wellbeing and individual progress are at the heart of the provision. You will work closely with teachers, therapists and a wider multidisciplinary team to provide personalised support both in and outside of the classroom.
The school supports pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, communication difficulties and sensory processing differences. You will play an important role in helping pupils access learning, develop independence and work towards their individual EHCP outcomes.
This is much more than a traditional classroom support role. You will build trusted relationships with pupils, support positive behaviour and safeguarding strategies, and help create a calm, nurturing environment where every young person feels understood and able to succeed.
