Key Health (Part of KTS Group) is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist education setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support young adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, focusing on communication and dysphagia outcomes.

The role involves delivering evidence-based SaLT interventions, supporting AAC and total communication approaches, and contributing to admissions, transitions and staff training.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy is required.
• HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist is required.
• Experience supporting individuals with complex communication needs.
• Knowledge of AAC and total communication approaches.
• Experience assessing and managing dysphagia.
• Strong communication, organisation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience supporting young adults with learning disabilities, autism or complex needs.
• Experience delivering staff training and consultancy.
• Knowledge of education or residential care settings.

Aufgaben

• Managing a caseload of students with complex communication needs and dysphagia.
• Assessing, planning and delivering evidence-based SaLT interventions.
• Supporting AAC, Makaton, Intensive Interaction and total communication approaches.
• Promoting communication-rich learning environments.
• Supporting admissions assessments, transition planning and reviews.
• Delivering communication and dysphagia training to staff.
• Providing specialist advice to education and support teams.
• Working closely with OT, Physiotherapy, PBS, education and care colleagues.
• Maintaining clinical records, reports and professional standards.
