Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting a confident and dependable SEN Teaching Assistant for a welcoming mainstream primary school in the Aintree area of Liverpool. The role is permanent, full-time and starts January 2027, with continued support from the school’s SEND team.

You will provide 1:1, small-group and classroom support to pupils with SEND, help them access learning, and follow EHCP outcomes. A Level 2/3 TA qualification and experience with autism/ADHD are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Recent experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role.
• Experience supporting children within a primary setting.
• Understanding of EHCPs and individual support strategies.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND throughout the school day.
• Assist with 1:1, small-group and classroom learning.
• Follow EHCP outcomes and individual support plans.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and behaviour.
• Record observations and feedback to staff.
• Build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Co-operate with SENCO and the wider support team.
