Job summary

Falkirk Council is seeking an Early Years Officer for Borrowstoun Early Learning and Childcare Centre. The post is part time (22.2 hours, Mon-Wed) on a full year basis and permanent within Falkirk Council Education Services.

You will hold HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent, be registered or seeking registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), and may need PVG scheme membership. Salary will be adjusted for part time work.

Qualifications

• Experience with early learning and childcare provision.
• Knowledge of current EY practice and procedures.
• Ability to work with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Promote and deliver high quality play and learning indoors and outdoors.
• Establish positive relationships with children and families.
• Work as an effective team member within the ELC Centre.
• Be prepared to work a shift pattern 8am–6pm.
