Job summary

Falkirk Council is seeking an Early Years Officer for Shieldhill Primary School, ELC Class. The role focuses on delivering high quality early learning and childcare, both indoors and outdoors, and requires registration with the SSSC or active pursuit of registration. PVG scheme membership will be required.

The post is part-time (22.2 hours, Wednesday to Friday) and term-time, with permanency within Falkirk Council Children’s Services. Salary will be adjusted for part-time and term-time terms.

Early Years Officer Shieldhill Primary School, ELC Class Post ID CS1878 and CS0457 An opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Officer to join the team at Shieldhill Primary School, ELC Class. You will have skills, knowledge and experience of all current Early Learning and Childcare provision and procedures and have a passion for promoting and delivering high quality play and learning both indoors and outdoors. You will work as an effective team member and establish positive relationships with children and families. You will have knowledge and experience of current early learning and childcare provision and procedures. With experience of working with children, you will have an HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent. You must be registered with or currently seeking registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership. The post is part time - 22.2 hours working Wednesday to Friday and is term time. The post is permanent within Falkirk Council Children's Services. Please note the salary in the advert will be adjusted accordingly for part time and term time contract.
