Job summary
Covington Developments in Coventry is seeking an experienced CNC Turner – Setter, Operator and Programmer to join our Turning section. The role entails setting, operating and programming Fanuc CNC turning machines to produce high-precision components.
You will work under minimal supervision within a skilled team, ensuring parts meet exact specifications with strong emphasis on quality and efficiency. Permanent, full-time with overtime opportunities and standard weekday hours.
Qualifications
- Strong CNC turning experience.
- Experience setting, operating and programming CNC lathes.
- Good working knowledge of Fanuc controls.
- Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision.
- Confidence using precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to work to close tolerances.
- Understanding of machining processes and tooling.
- Attention to detail and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Set, operate and programme CNC turning machines.
- Programme and operate Fanuc-controlled machinery.
- Interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Select tooling, speeds and feeds.
- Produce components to tolerances.
- Inspect and measure your own work.
- Make adjustments to maintain accuracy.
- Complete machine setups with minimal supervision.
- Maintain quality and production standards.
- Keep machines and work areas clean and organized.
