Esteem North Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Peripatetic Specialist Teaching & Learning Assistant (STLA) to join our dedicated team. As a Peripatetic STLA, you will work across the Academy, providing high-quality support to pupils who may have additional needs or experience barriers to accessing education.

You will play an important role in helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally, while supporting them to build confidence, independence and positive

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted, individualised support to pupils.
• Work across the Academy and support pupils in various settings.
• Develop positive relationships, encouraging engagement.
• Support teaching and learning through one-to-one and small-group interventions.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Implement strategies identified in pupils' support plans.
• Work closely with teachers, families and other professionals to ensure appropriate support.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Monitor and communicate pupils' progress, behaviour and wellbeing.
• Support pupils who may present with challenging behaviour.
