Job summary

Barnsley Council's Children’s Services is recruiting Social Workers and Advanced Practitioners for a newly created peripatetic team. The role offers a permanent contract, a supportive learning environment and opportunities to gain varied experience across children’s social care.

You will deliver high-quality assessments and plans, build strong relationships with children and families, and work across teams on a planned rotational basis to broaden your practice.

Qualifications

• A qualified social worker with experience in statutory children's services, registered with Social Work England.
• Excellent communicator with strong collaboration skills.
• Flexible and adaptable, able to handle new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality assessments and plans for children and families.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families and partner agencies.
• Work across teams in a planned rotational setup to broaden practice.
