Job summary

Argyll and Bute Council invites applications for a Peripatetic Pupil Support Teacher within our Inclusion & Equality team. The role focuses on ASN support to help pupils reach their academic, social and emotional potential, working with schools, families and external partners.

You will contribute to inclusive practice, provide targeted interventions, and support teacher training and team teaching, with PVG clearance required for working with children and a flexible hybrid working approach.

Qualifications

• PVG membership required for working with children.
• Experience in inclusive education or ASN support preferred.
• Able to work collaboratively with families, schools and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted intervention and support for pupils with ASN.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, pastoral staff and families to promote inclusive practice.
• Deliver training, coaching and, where appropriate, team teaching to develop staff skills.
