Aberdeen City Council is seeking a committed Pupil Support Assistant to join Heathryburn School on a fixed-term, part-time basis. You will support pupils with ASN, collaborate with teaching staff and partner agencies to enable learning and promote independence in a caring environment.

The role requires PVG membership or willingness to obtain prior to a formal offer, with a strong emphasis on communication, literacy and numeracy, and a patient, empathetic approach to diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Proven oral communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Empathy, patience and tolerance to respond to diverse ASN needs.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with learners and staff.

Responsabilités

• Support pupils with Additional Support Needs (ASN) to access learning and develop independence.
• Work closely with teaching staff and partner agencies to create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
• Adapt approach to meet a range of needs, including communication and behavioural support.
