Aberdeen City Council is seeking a committed Pupil Support Assistant to support children and young people with Additional Support Needs (ASN) at Heathryburn School. You will work with teaching staff to enable access to learning, support independence and help learners feel valued in an inclusive, nurturing environment.

The post requires PVG membership or willingness to obtain, and candidates should demonstrate strong communication, empathy and patience.

Qualifications

• PVG membership for regulated work with children and/or protected adults, or willingness to obtain prior to a formal offer.
• Proven oral communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Empathy, patience and tolerance and to respond positively to additional support needs.

Responsabilités

• Support pupils with ASN to access learning, develop independence and achieve their potential.
• Work closely with teaching staff and partner agencies to provide high-quality support.
