Job summary

Dorset Travel in Bridport is seeking a Peripatetic Passenger Assistant to support children and young people on journeys to and from home and school. The role covers regular absences and requires a flexible, caring approach, with travel across Dorset as needed.

You will work approximately 18 hours per week during term time, starting at £13.48 per hour, with morning and afternoon shifts to match school times.

Responsibilities

Job description

Dorset Travel coordinate the transport provision for children and young people with additional needs within Dorset as well as out of county. The team also supply and support transport need for Mainstream, Child Care as well as Adults.

The vacancy is for a Peripatetic Passenger Assistant living in the Bridport Area contracted at approximately 18 hours per week - Term Time Only commencing at £13.48 per hour.

The role of a Passenger Assistant is to support children and young people providing additional assistance in maintaining a safe environment on the journey from/to home/school. This vacancy is for a Peripatetic Passenger Assistant from the Bridport Area to cover Regular Passenger Assistant absence. There is a requirement to travel if required.

Candidates need to be available morning and afternoon to coincide with school opening and closing times with all holiday leave to be taken in the school holidays.
