Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a Peripatetic Home Manager & Quality Auditor to lead multiple residential homes across Hertfordshire, travelling between sites from the Head Office in Welwyn Garden City. This full-time role supports interim Home Manager duties, improves quality, and ensures regulatory readiness.

You will oversee budgets, staff development, inspections and drive improvements while maintaining core CQC compliance and safeguards.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Leadership in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Significant Home Manager experience in residential and/or dementia care.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, MCA/DoLS, and care sector legislation.
• Proven leadership with experience developing teams, managing budgets and inspections.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Registered Manager Award or higher management/quality/audit qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership across Quantum Care homes, including interim Home Manager support and service stabilisation.
• Drive quality improvement, compliance, auditing activities and regulatory readiness to support outstanding care standards.
• Deliver temporary Home Manager cover without responsibility for Registered Manager status, while CQC registration remains managed by the organisation.

Peripatetic Home Manager & Quality Auditor

Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week

Contract: Permeant

Salary: £68,000 - £70,000 per annum plus £5500 car allowance (dependant on experience and qualifications)

Location: Head Office - Welwyn Garden City - Travelling across Hertfordshire and surrounding to all Care Home site.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialist Peripatetic Home Manager & Quality Auditor to join our Operations Team at Quantum Care.

The Role
As a Peripatetic Home Manager & Quality Auditor, you will play a key role in:

• Providing experienced operational leadership across Quantum Care homes, including interim Home Manager support and service stabilisation.
• Driving quality improvement, compliance, auditing activities and regulatory readiness to support outstanding care standards.
• Delivering temporary Home Manager cover without responsibility for Registered Manager status, allowing you to focus on operational leadership, support, quality improvement and service enhancement while CQC registration responsibilities remain managed through existing organisational arrangements.

What You'll Bring

• Level 5 Leadership in Health & Social Care qualification (or equivalent) with ongoing CPD and a full UK driving licence. (Essential)
• Significant Home Manager experience within residential and/or dementia care services. (Essential)
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, MCA/DoLS, and care sector legislation. (Essential)
• Proven leadership skills with experience developing teams, managing performance, budgets, and inspections. (Essential)
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive improvement and work independently. (Essential)
• Registered Manager Award, higher-level management qualification, or quality/audit-related qualification. (Desirable)
