Job summary

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality perioperative care and act as scrub practitioner across a range of surgical specialties.

Qualifications

• Experience in scrub role or perioperative care is desirable.
• Ability to work across multiple surgical specialties.
• Strong aseptic technique and infection prevention practices.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality perioperative care.
• Act as scrub practitioner across a range of surgical specialties, including complex procedures.
• Prepare operating theatres, instruments and specialist equipment (robotic and IR systems).
• Maintain high standards of aseptic technique and infection prevention.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team for efficient and safe procedures.
• Undertake and document surgical counts in line with Trust policy.
• Participate in WHO surgical safety checklists, team briefs and debriefs.
• Provide safe, effective, and patient-centred care throughout the perioperative pathway.
• Support patients undergoing various procedures, including paediatric and high-acuity cases.
