Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Theatre Practitioner Scrub (Band 5) to join the fast-paced Theatres Department in Coventry. The role supports orthopaedic and elective procedures, with opportunities to develop skills in complex revision arthroplasty and robotic surgery.

You will work across a hub of theatres, ensuring patient safety, equipment readiness, and high-quality peri-operative care within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered with NMC/HCPC to practise in the UK.
• Post-preceptorship experience in the UK is desirable.
• Study at level 6 (degree/diploma) required.
• First degree in relevant subject.

Responsibilities

• Assess and contribute to peri-operative care planning.
• Provide equipment and materials for theatre lists.
• Maintain infection control and safety in clinical areas.
• Assist and care for patients during clinical procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of care.
