University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking an Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner to join Rugby St Cross theatres in our fast-paced Theatres Department. You will provide expert peri-operative scrub support for elective orthopaedic surgery, with opportunities to learn complex revision arthroplasty and robotic techniques, while upholding NMC/HCPC standards and Trust policies.

Qualifications

• Scrub practitioner with proven scrub experience, particularly in elective orthopaedic surgery.
• Interest in learning complex revision arthroplasty and robotic surgery.
• Adhere to NMC/HCPC Code of Conduct and Trust policies.

Responsabilités

• Assess, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate peri-operative care.
• Acknowledge patient preferences and rights during surgery.
• Maintain health, safety and infection control in clinical areas.
• Prepare, monitor and maintain materials/equipment for procedures.
• Support and care for patients during procedures.
• Contribute to treating patients during clinical emergencies.
• Receive, transfer and position patients for procedures.
• Maintain accurate and legible records of care.
