Job summary

The Princess Grace Hospital in London is seeking a Senior Theatre Practitioner – Scrub to join our Theatres team. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours weekly across early and late shifts, Monday to Saturday in a modern private hospital with hybrid theatre, robotic suite and laminar flow theatres designed for complex orthopaedic procedures.

You will work with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre colleagues to maintain patient safety, support perioperative care and encourage best practice, with

Qualifications

• Must be registered as a Nurse or ODP with the NMC or HCPC.
• Significant experience working as a scrub practitioner within a theatre environment.
• Strong understanding of perioperative practice and patient safety standards.
• Ability to work flexibly across different surgical specialties.
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and team focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled scrub support across a range of surgical procedures, maintaining high clinical standards throughout.
• Prepare operating theatres, instruments and equipment to ensure safe and effective delivery of surgical care.
• Support patients throughout their perioperative journey, prioritising safety, dignity and comfort.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient and well-coordinated theatre lists.
• Share knowledge, support junior colleagues and contribute to the ongoing development of the theatre team.
