Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Procedure Card Analyst to standardize OR procedure cards, ensuring accurate content across sites and improving patient safety. The role collaborates with physicians and perioperative leadership to drive quality, cost savings, and data integrity.

The analyst uses Tableau and Epic OpTime to monitor data, coordinates provider onboarding, and partners with OR staff to optimize card content and case categorization. A nursing/tech background and BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• AA Degree of Nursing or Graduate of a surgical technology program or equivalent experience/training required.
• Maintain current License or certification.
• Extensive acute operating room experience as a certified surgical technician or registered nurse across multiple service lines.
• Demonstrated experience with physician procedure cards; operating room related billing, card maintenance, scheduling, and/or auditing.
• Demonstrated knowledge/experience with operating room surgical equipment, instruments, positioning devices, medications, and/or supplies.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Oversees procedure card management to enhance patient safety and perioperative efficiency while standardizing content.
• Analyzes incomplete data to define issues and prioritize long-term solutions.
• Crafts targeted communication strategies for stakeholders and aligns actions with IH goals.
• Oversees daily updates to ensure accurate card content and coordinates timely updates.
• Monitors data with Tableau, Epic OpTime, and other platforms to identify standardization opportunities.
• Coordinates onboarding for new providers and partners with OR staff to update cards.
