Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Perinatal Mortality and Safety Coordinator to support the maternity service. Based in the Womens Centre at John Radcliffe Hospital, the role involves coordinating PMR reviews, contributing to PSIRF learning, and deputising for patient safety midwives as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with NMC registration.
• Experience in antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.
• Education/Mentorship qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate perinatal mortality reviews using the PMRT tool and liaise with the Patient Safety Midwives.
• Provide support to Bereavement midwives to report deaths to MBBRACE in line with CNST requirements.
• Undertake rapid review of perinatal deaths to identify immediate safety concerns with a senior clinician.
