Job summary

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a CBT Therapist for the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service (SPMHS). The role involves providing psychological assessment, formulation and CBT-based interventions to women and birthing people in the perinatal period, in both group and one-to-one formats, with both remote and face-to-face options.

Qualifications

• BABCP level 2 accredited post graduate diploma in CBT.
• Current registration with a professional body such as NMC, HCPC, or similar.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Has access to a vehicle or ability to travel for the service.
• Extensive experience in community mental health settings.
• Knowledge of evidence-based psychological techniques for perinatal period.
• Experience delivering CBT therapy one-to-one and in groups.
• Experience in assessing and managing risk and liaising with other agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for women/birthing people and families in SPMHS.
• Receive supervision from senior psychologist/therapist within the team.
• Support development of psychologically informed care across the MDT and perinatal pathway.
• Contribute to audits, policy, service development and research within the area.
