Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a 1.83 WTE Counsellor/Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (with EMDR) to join our perinatal mental health service, supporting women with birth fear, trauma, tokophobia and perinatal loss.

You will work flexibly with remote working and face-to-face clinics, coordinating with maternity and mental health teams to provide holistic psychological care for pregnant and new mothers with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting women with birth-related trauma or tokophobia.
• Knowledge of maternal mental health pathways and services.
• Ability to assess, plan and coordinate psychological care.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological support for a defined group of women in perinatal care.
• Coordinate care with Maternity, Mental Health and Health Visiting teams.
• Develop and audit pathways for perinatal mental health services.
