Job summary

Arriva Kent & Surrey Limited, a leading UK transport operator, is seeking a curious Analyst to support the Group Finance Business Performance team in Sunderland. This 12-month fixed-term role blends data analysis, governance and reporting to enable informed decisions across the organisation.

The role is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 3 days in the Doxford Park office, with the remainder flexible to prioritise key stakeholders and data quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in data, reporting, finance or business performance roles with ability to analyse data and support decision-making.
• Strong data validation, reconciliation and issue resolution experience.
• Experience with financial, operational and/or non-financial performance data.
• Excellent Excel skills and ability to handle large datasets.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own inputs and outputs within the Group Performance Dashboard, ensuring accuracy and alignment with wider reporting.
• Assist in development and enhancement of dashboards and reporting outputs with reliable data.
• Ensure outputs are aligned across operational, financial and KPI reporting for Exec-level decision-making.
• Collaborate with Finance and stakeholders to understand data requirements and respond to reporting queries.
• Support collection, validation and reconciliation of ESG and other non-financial data.
